TorsionFlex is morton‘s extension made from polyamide with a carbon fiber content, manufactured by paromed using the FDM 3D printing process. It is a molded component that seaminglessly integrates into CNC-milled insole bases.
Thanks to its ergonomic shape, the EVA insole remains flexible in the rearfoot area. The three longitudinal grooves of the TorsionFlex reinforcement provide rigidity during the rolling motion, while still allowing the necessary torsion along the longitudinal axis. As a result, bending at the metatarsophalangeal joint of the big toe is reduced, while maintaining a high degree of mobility.
Our goal:
- Supply with optimal biomechanical effectiveness
- TorsionFlex is compatible with all paromed EVA blanks
- Increase productivity in the manufacturing process of orthopedic insoles
In addition to the biomechanical properties described above, TorsionFlex can be easily integrated into the 3D underside of your CAD insoles using the provided templates. This saves valuable time in the workshop, as the milling corresponds exactly to the depth of the TorsionFlex component. The required precision is ensured by positioning the TorsionFlex component during the modeling of the 3D insole underside.
Processing: The material can be thermoplastically reshaped (e.g., raising the toe area) and bonded using adhesives such as Renia Top-Fit.
